The  corps got its start in 1991, when twin brothers and Crusaders alumni Neil and Terry Connolly formed a new group to reconnect with old members and preserve the tradition of the original corps.

First known as the “Saders,” the group held practices in Waltham and other locations in the Greater Boston area, before settling in Melrose. The senior corps doesn’t limit membership to Boston Crusaders alumni, and veterans from other corps and bands fill out the group’s roster.

The senior corps, officially renamed the Crusaders Senior Corps of Boston, have performed throughout Massachusetts and several other states and have appeared in every Drum Corps Associates Alumni Spectacular since the first show in 1998. We are in our 34th year and still goin strong
